Natural Remedies for Curing Acne

Acne is a skin condition that appears usually on your face and neck. This irritating state of your skin happens when your hair follicles become plugged with oil and dead skin cells. You can try hiding it under a layer of foundation but the best way to get rid of it by curing it. Here are some remedies you can try using natural products. They are easy to find and, as I said, are absolutely natural, for all of you that do not like chemicals.
So here are the remedies.

Egg yolk

The first set of remedies could be found in your home so no need to rush to the supermarket.

Egg yolk contains immunoglobine that kills bacteria. Apply the egg yoke twice a day for 1 hour on the acne affected areas. You can also massage it for a couple of minutes for a maximum effect. After that wash it either with lukewarm water or a facewash.

Honey

Honey is not only delicious and good for your health but it is also a very good facial mask. You can either use only honey or mix it with some yogurt. Apply the honey directly to your face and leave it like that for 20 minutes. Rinse it with lukewarm water. Or if you choose to use yogurt as well here is what to do. Mix one tablespoon of room temperature yogurt with one tablespoon of honey until they are mixed perfectly. Apply it on the affected skin using a dry cotton swab. Leave it like that fot 15 minutes. Remove the dead skin by gently scrubbing with a washcloth in circular motion. Wash the mask away with lukewarm water and remember to always moisturize your skin after rinsing off a mask.

Potatoes

Those wonderful vegetables saved the population from starvation thousands of times. They contain vitamins and minerals but also antioxidants which nourish the skin and help the growth of new cells. If you use it as a remedy for acne, it won’t be as sticky as, for example, the honey mask. Slice a raw potato in half and apply it to your skin. Rub it on your face for a couple of minutes. Then leave it for 15-30 minutes to get dry and rinse with water.

Garlic

It has been used in medicine for centuries. This is a natural antibiotic and it is no wonder why it halp curing acne as well. Do not apply garlic directly on your skin. You always need to dilute it first in aloe vera or water because its juice is very strong. After you have mixed 2-3 cloves of garlic with 1 teaspoon of water, apply the mixture on your face with a cotton swab. 5 minutes later wash your skin.

Those remedies will help you get rid of the acne but remember the best way for not having acne is the prevention. Don’t touch your face too often especially with unwashed hands, change your pillowcase regularly and eat healthy food. You will not only help your skin but will also improve your overall health. After all, health is the best beautifying method.
