The hair must be clean and voluminous. The easiest and most harmless way to achieve such an effect is to apply dry shampoo in the roots and then blow-dry the hair with a hair dryer and a large, round brush. If you put a little bit of stylizing mouse on the hair, the hair dryer will create also a soft wavy texture of the hair, which is a wanted effect too.
Then, tease the crown area of the head.
Tie the hair into a middle-placed ponytail, but don’t pull the hair too tight because you will smash the volume at the crown area.
Take a strand from the tail and wrap it around the hair band. Lock the wrap with a bobby pin underneath the base of the ponytail.
Pull out some strand of the hair in order to loosen out the pony a little bit.
At the end, spritz the whole hair with a hair spray in order to save the texture and the places of the strands.
